The temomin story

"temomin" is a fabricated Japanese word where "te" means hand and "momi" means massage.

The temomin concept was created in Japan in the mid 1990s. The aim was to provide affordable massage therapy in convenient locations, and with time being a valuable asset for the busy Japanese, temomin quickly grew, now boasting more than 100 clinics across Japan.

After moving to Australia in 1998 and finding there was nothing like temomin in Brisbane, Kazuhisa Yoshiura decided to launch the temomin concept in Australia. The first Australian temomin opened its doors in Broadway on the Mall in December 1998. There are now four temomin clinics within the Brisbane CBD, Fortitude Valley and Surfers Paradise.

The concept for the Australian temomin is the same as its Japanese counterpart: to provide a clean and safe environment where clients can relax and enjoy affordable, high-quality, Japanese massage therapy.
